We have been learning about how worm farms can help us be waste wise and more sustainable. We have learnt some interesting information about both earthworms and worm farms.
What were some of the interesting facts you learnt?
The bottom layer temperature can get up to 40 degrees celsius. They only go up. They eat all of the greens and browns then grind them out in their stomach and it comes out as soil. This is called casting.
Worms eat the food scraps.

DeleteSome greens are tea bags and food scraps and some browns are cardboard and egg cartons.
DeleteI learnt that the worms can eat fruit scraps, vegetable scraps, paper and cardboard to make more nutritious soil for our plants. J.T.

DeleteThey eat two types of foods that they eat greens and browns. Some of the greens are tea bags and food scraps. Some of the brown foods are egg cartons.
