During inquiry last week the Ream of Rodda were learning about Indonesia. We were lucky enough to have a special helper visiting in our room named Oki who is from Indonesia and he talked to everyone about what it is like to live there. He also answered lots of our questions about Indonesia. We watched a short video about Indonesia and then we wrote and produced our own news reports that gave lots of information about Indonesia.
Next, we produced some amazing Orangutan artworks while learning about tonal shading and the use of mixed media (for this artwork we used texta patterns and oil pastel shading and blending). We finished off the week as a whole school raising money on Green Day for The Orangutan Project! What a busy week!!
