Term 3

Well, what a start to Term 3 we have had here in Seussville! We have hit the ground running over the last two weeks, so we truely appologise that we have not had a chance to share our hard work with you all. We started the term off getting organised for our student led conferences, where we got to share lots of our amazing learning from the first half of this year, including our incredible Biome Booths. We also had our Eco Ernie Earth Fair, where the whole school was able to come and look at our biome dioramas, poetry, slide shows and information reports and ask us lots of questions about our learning.

We have also been learning about how to write an explanation. We investigated the features of the 'Water Cycle', the 'Life Cycle of a Tadpole/Frog' and finally, 'What Makes Popcorn Pop?' Make sure you stay tuned to the Seussville Blog to see some of our explanation learning later this week!

Finally, we finished off week two, with Year 3 creating some History of Canberra (our current Inquiry) themed artworks and Year 4 participating in a Coding Unplugged session.

What did you learn at our Eco Ernie Earth Fair?

  1. I learnt that the desert biome can be hot/sandy or cold/snowy. I really enjoyed working on my grassland biome booth with my buddies. it was great.
