This term we have been learning about cartooning and using mixed media to create character drawings during visual arts. This week we learnt about using markers to sketch a character and then learnt how to use oil pastels to give tone and shading to our drawings. We are super excited with what a great job we all did.
What are some of the tips you have learnt during our drawing and shading lessons?
For example:
I learnt that it is really helpful, to use my finger to work out the position of what I am about to draw on the paper, before I put my marker on the paper.

I learnt not to press too hard with my pencil so that I can rub it out if I make a mistake. J.T.
ReplyDeleteI learnt that you can make shadows by using a darker colour and I also learnt that you can make a high light with oil pastels, for example you could do light blue from where your pencil was and a darker blue where your pencil wasn't.
