What a week!!

Well, week 7 was an incredibly busy week for all of us in Suessville! We started with Japanese fun day where we made Kites, played games, read a Japanese story, attended a Japanese performance and tasted some Udon and Soba noodles. We finished off the week with our excursion to Birrigai. We had an amazing two days where we got to learn how to build tents with just a few sick poles, some rope and a tarp. We built fires and cooked damper on sticks and experienced going to school in the 1950's. There were team challenges where we worked together to solve puzzles and high ropes activities to test our nerves. We finished off with an Early Settlers Simulation where we were put into families and had to earn money to buy a fence for our plot of land, to build a shelter, to build a dam and purchase animals. After all of our hard work, the Governor and his soldiers came to visit each family to inspect their land.

We are now back at school getting ready for our End of Year Concert this Wednesday, we look forward to seeing you all there!
