Science Inguiry - Night and Day

Today we began our new Science inquiry, Night and Day. Students  will be exploreing the sizes, shapes, positions and movements of the Sun, Earth and Moon. They will investigate how shadows change throughout the day and link these changes to the Sun’s apparent movement across the sky. We have already learnt that the sun doesnt actually move but that we move around the sun while turning on an axis.Take a look at one of the interesting clips we watched to help our learning.

What is something you would like to learn more about during our Night and Day inquiry?

  1. Does the sun move at all? Why is it bright in some parts of the world a couple of months a year?
