During Visual Art, we have continued to learn the tricks of cartooning. For our task today we explored primary colours and how to use water colour paints effectively. Check out our amazing creations.

Multiplication Challenge

Year 4 students have been focusing on learning their multiplication facts. We found this great game, Hit The Button.

Sonic The Hedgehog

This term we have been learning about cartooning and using mixed media to create character drawings during visual arts. This week we learnt about using markers to sketch a character and then learnt how to use oil pastels to give tone and shading to our drawings. We are super excited with what a great job we all did.

What are some of the tips you have learnt during our drawing and shading lessons?

For example:

I learnt that it is really helpful, to use my finger to work out the position of what I am about to draw on the paper, before I put my marker on the paper.

Community

In Civics and Citizenship we have been exploring how we can participate in our community. Today we looked at
'The Giving Wheel'.

Can you give some specific examples of ways we can participate in our community?

e.g. Time & Energy - I can join Clean up Australia and help keep my community clean.

Make the Shape

In Maths, Year 4 students have been exploring the properties of polygons. They had to use 6 equilateral triangles to make a range of shapes.

Can you make any other shapes using 6 equilateral triangles?
